HR Manager
Job Description:
Job purpose
The HR Manager is a member of the leadership team who actively supports discussions and leverages best practices ensuring key projects are lead and delivered, as well as ensuring core HR practices are promptly, accurately, and legally delivered.
Plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy.
Duties And Responsibilities
1. HR Duties (80%)
• Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
• Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
• Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; expat services; and training and development.
• Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
• Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system.
• Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
• Develops and implements departmental budget.
• Facilitates professional development, training for HR staff.
• Performs other duties as required.
2. Supervisory Responsibilities (20%)
• Recruits, interviews, hires new staff in the departments.
• Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
• Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Job Requirement:
Education
• Degree in Human Resources, Business administration or related field with at least 3 years in HR management role
• Supervisory experience
• Experience in a school environment is an advantage

• Demonstrable skills critical for managerial success includes leadership, decisiveness, collaboration, flexibility, sound business judgement, highly developed personal, analytical and communications skills.
• Demonstrable skills in consensus building and mediation to constructively address employee conflicts.
• Effective communication skills, verbally and in writing, to all levels of staff and management, external stakeholders, and agencies, expressing ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.
• Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with employment related laws and regulations.
• Project management and change management skills: able to organize and work independently on multiple assigned tasks and projects and complete assignments within deadlines.
• Strong time management and priorities management skills
• Remain flexible to adapt to changes in the work environment.

• High level knowledge and experience with Microsoft suites including word, excel, PowerPoint and Project.
