Job purpose

 The School Doctor is responsible for the physical/medical examination of students and staff, the first aid and emergency care, the prevention and control of communicable diseases, and the maintenance of all medical records and reports.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Examining, prescribing medication for students and teachers.
  • Providing first aid for accidents at school.
  • Delivering expert opinion and counseling.
  • Keep track of psychological and health abnormalities for students.
  • Providing training of student care to nannies, boarding parents, bus drivers and academic team.
  • Checking for food hygiene and safety
  • Planning and implementing preventive tasks
  • Provide effective leadership over school clinic operations and services according to legislative and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure implementation of all mandated policies and protocols in collaboration with the school’s administrative authorities and school personnel.
  • Conduct comprehensive medical examination of newly registered and existing students at any grade and document the findings in the school health record.
  • Promptly attend to students with injuries or other conditions requiring immediate attention.
  • Participate in planning and conducting health training activities in the school.
  • Ensure accuracy and security of student records, files, and database.

Job Requirement

Education

  • Holding a degree from a recognized medical university with a specialty in internal medicine.
  • Having a medical practice certificate.

Specialized knowledge

Skills

  • Experience working in school clinics is an advantage.
  • Steady in professional knowledge.
  • Having knowledge and skills in handling emergencies.
  • Abilities to handle situations and communicate effectively and flexibly.
  • Communicating well in English.

Working conditions

Office hour.

School nurse, physician.
