Job Description:

Job purpose
The MOET Principal is responsible for the overall management, leadership, and development of the Vietnamese curriculum division (MOET stream), ensuring compliance with the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) regulations and alignment with the school’s vision, mission, and educational philosophy.
Duties And Responsibilities
A. Leadership & MOET School Operations

·       Lead and oversee all educational and operational activities in accordance with MOET regulations and the school’s internal policies.

·       Develop, implement, and evaluate long-term strategic and annual operational plans for the MOET Division.

·       Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and student well-being.

·       Supervise day-to-day operations including schedules, discipline, teaching quality, and student performance.

B. Curriculum Development & Academic Quality

·       Ensure that the Vietnamese curriculum strictly complies with MOET standards while integrating innovative teaching approaches.

·       Monitor, assess, and continuously improve the curriculum, teaching methods, and student evaluation systems.

·       Support the integration of life skills, moral education, and character-building activities into the MOET curriculum.

·       Coordinate with the International Program Principal to ensure consistency and synergy across programs.

C. Human Resource Management

·       Recruit, train, and develop high-quality teaching and administrative staff.

·       Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities.

·       Foster a professional, collaborative, and student-centered school culture.

·       Promote teamwork, respect, and mutual support among teachers, students, and parents.

D. Community & Parent Relations

·       Build strong relationships with parents, alumni, and community stakeholders to enhance school reputation and collaboration.

·       Organize and participate in educational, cultural, and community events.

·       Represent the school in local and national educational activities or conferences.

E. Administration & Finance Management

·       Ensure all school administrative procedures, student records, and MOET reports are completed accurately and on time.

·       Manage and optimize the division’s budget and resources effectively, transparently, and in alignment with the school’s policies.

·       Collaborate with the Finance and HR departments on payroll, procurement, and budget forecasting.

F. Quality Assurance & Reporting

·       Oversee academic performance and quality indicators to meet or exceed MOET and internal standards.

·       Implement self-assessment and improvement plans regularly.

·       Prepare and present periodic reports on student achievement, teaching quality, and operational performance to the Board.

G. External Relations & Compliance

·       Represent the school in all official communications with the Department and Division of Education and Training (Sở / Phòng GD&ĐT).

·       Ensure the school’s compliance with all MOET, labor, and safety regulations.

·       Liaise with government authorities and education inspectors during audits and evaluations.

Job Requirement:

Job Specifications
Education

Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (required). Master’s degree in educational management / leadership (preferred).

Specific knowledge Requirements

·       Valid MOET Principal / Vice Principal license or eligible for MOET appointment

·       The principal must meet the qualification standards required for the high school level.

·       Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

·       Have taught for at least 5 years (or 4 years for teachers working in mountainous, island, remote, or socio-economically disadvantaged areas) at that educational level.

·       At least 5–7 years of experience in education management (preferably as Principal or Vice Principal in a MOET or bilingual school).

·       Deep understanding of MOET regulations, school operations, and curriculum design. Knowledge of modern pedagogy and school improvement frameworks.

·       Leadership, communication, planning, budgeting, staff development, conflict management, problem-solving.

·       Experience working in bilingual or international schools is preferable.

·       Fluent in Vietnamese; Good communication in English.
