Job purpose |
Provide direct instruction and supervision to and for students in the school. Work to instill skills that will allow children to progress academically within the scope of the curriculum as well as providing strategies that allow children to apply appropriate problem- solving skills to their lives. |
Duties And Responsibilities |
1. Teach diligently and faithfully the classes or subjects assigned to them by the principal. 2. Follow the prescribed curriculum as outlined for each grade level. 3. Assist in the development, creation, and selection of new curriculum, instructional materials and supplies. 4. Be responsible for effective instruction, training, and evaluation of the progress of students in the subjects assigned to the teachers and for the management of the class or classes, and report to the Principal on the progress of students on request. 5. Encourage the students in the pursuit of life-long learning. 6. Maintain accurate records of students’ academic and behavioral performance as directed by the Principal. 7. Participate in regular conferencing with parents and keep records of such in the prescribed school format. 8. Inculcate by precept and example respect for religion and the principles of SNA Marianapolis core value and belief. 9. Provide direction and support for student activities and after-school clubs. 10. Promote SNA Marianapolis in a positive fashion at all times. 11. Assist in developing cooperation and coordination of effort among the members of the staff of the school. 12. Give parents regular updates about their children’s learning content and progress, requesting 1-1 parent meetings to address specific topics / issues as needed. 13. Attend conferences with other teachers to discuss academic and social needs of the students in his/her care as directed by the Principal. 14. Make appropriate and timely referrals of students in difficulty to the designated support personnel. 15. Deliver all required documentation, reports, and school property in their possession as may be directed by the Principal when their contractual agreement with the school has expired or when for any reason his employment with ACA has ceased. 16. Use and permit to be used textbooks that are approved by the school only. 17. Attend and actively participate in grade level meetings. 18. Attend scheduled staff meetings and serve on faculty committees as requested by the school administration. 19. Supervise students in the classroom, in the hallways, on the playground, and when students are on breaks, recess, and dismissal. 20. Carry out supervision duties as assigned by the principal. 20. Follow school policy and procedures. 21. Maintain and enhance professional competence by attending in-service training, seminars, and college level courses. 22. Perform other related tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.

Education · BA/MA/BS/MS in Primary education or Secondary education (major in teaching subject). · Preferred teacher certification from North America and three years teaching experience. · Working knowledge of computer technology as applied to the classroom and for record keeping. Physical requirement (if any) · Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer or standing to teach. · Must be able to traverse classroom and adjust one’s tone and height, by bending or leaning, in order to teach each child.
