Assistant MOET Principal
Job Description:
Job Purpose
- The Assistant to the MOET Principal serves as the primary point of contact between the MOET Principal students, employees, parents, and relevant stakeholders. The role provides high-level administrative, coordination, and operational support to ensure the effective achievement of school goals and the smooth operation of academic and administrative functions.
- The position also supports the Academic Department and contributes to improving internal processes, communication, and overall organizational effectiveness.
Duties And Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide direct administrative and operational support to the MOET Principal, including translation, documentation, and daily task management.
- Act as a communication bridge between departments to ensure timely and effective coordination of projects and tasks.
- Proactively manage the MOET Principal’s agenda, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and school events.
- Support the preparation of regular reports and facilitate internal communications as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and assist in troubleshooting issues.
- Support the review and updating of school policies and procedures.
- Process PPRs in accordance with requests from the MOET Principal.
- Assist in preparing and completing the monthly Board reports.
- Take the lead in supporting strategic initiatives that promote SNA culture, effectiveness, and long-term success.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the MOET Principal.
Minor Responsibilities:
- Prepare minutes for executive and leadership meetings.
- Draft and compile weekly briefing notes.
- Coordinate the preparation and distribution of community newsletters.
- Manage complex scheduling and calendar coordination, ensuring appropriate control of information flow to SSP.
- Oversee stationery and equipment ordering processes.
- Perform other assigned tasks as required.
Job Requirement:
Job Specifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Education, Pedagogy, Social Sciences, or related fields), or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 1 year of experience in a similar or relevant role.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Vietnamese.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong time management and stress management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong multitasking ability.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proactive, self-directed, and detail-oriented.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality and professional discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to seek clarification when tasks or expectations are unclear.
Working condition
- Standard office hours.
- Extended hours and overtime may be required during peak periods, particularly at the start of school terms.
- Occasional seasonal travel may be required.
